Tweets I could have sent from Sticky Team 2.0 conference

I attended the Sticky Team 2.0 North Coast Church conference on October 24 & 25.  Tag line:  Growth changes everything.  If I actively tweeted, here’s what I could have sent:

Will Mancini

Genius is the ability to scrutinize the obvious

Gigachurch

How about that for a new term to describe a church at 17,000 attendance – next order of magnitude for a large church beyond megachurch, which is usually 1,000 or 2,000 in attendance.

DJ Chuang on the dangers of social media:

Social media is instant, permanent, global.

Repeated comment throughout the conference:

If you try to be like Mark Driscoll or Scott Brown or Larry Osborne, you *will* fail miserably.

The same thing applies to any other high-octane nationally visible all-star.  You are not gifted by God the same as that person because you are working in a different place with a different situation with a different audience.

Take from this conference  what applies to you and use it in your situation to be what God wants you to be.  Leave the rest.

Same idea applies to any other conference you attend or any other national speaker you hear.

Gene Appel

There is no change without pain

You have been equipped with the gifts and skills you need for the calling God has put on your life.

You have the skills you need for the situation you are in.

Chris Brown

Life is short. Hell is hot. People matter.

Will have full-length posts later.
