Earlier this year I wrote a CPE course on SSARS requirements for CCH . Back in April I mentioned Compilation and Review: Practice Issues (Third Edition) was available. Discussed that course here. Two more SSARS classes I wrote are now online. Another will be available soon. Each of the following classes are two CPE hours.
Compilation and Review: Introduction. Course description from CCH:
Many components of the SSARS were changed when SSARS 19 went into effect for financial statements ending December 15, 2010. A large portion of the SSARS body of knowledge continued in place.
This CCH Learning Center course, Compilation and Review: Introduction, provides the basics of the SSARS literature that applies to both compilations and reviews after the impact of SSARS 19.
Compilation and Review: Compilation. Course description:
This CCH Learning Center course, Compilation and Review: Compilations rounds out the introduction to requirements for performing compilations that was started in the course Compilation and Review: Introduction. This course addresses those parts of the SSARS literature that apply only to a compilation.
Many components of the SSARS were changed when SSARS 19 went into effect for financial statements ending December 15, 2010. A large portion of the SSARS body of knowledge continued in place.
This course provides the basics of the SSARS literature that applies to only compilations.
The third class will cover those portions of the SSARS literature that are unique to reviews.
These three courses are designed to cover the basics of SSARS engagements. The introduction class provides overview and covers the material that applies to both compilations and reviews. Separate courses cover those issues unique to compilations or reviews. So if you just provide comps, you can do the Intro and Comp course. If you only provide reviews, take the Intro and Review course. Or you take all three courses. Take your pick based on your practice.
Full disclosure: I was paid a flat fee to write the courses. I do not get any extra compensation based on volume of courses sold.
