Information posted yesterday on the California Legislature’s web site shows the Appropriations Committee will hold hearings on AB 1181 next month, on August 19, 2019.

The link is to a dynamic page. That means when I looked two days ago AB 1181 was not listed on the agenda for either of the listed hearings on 8/12 or 8/19 and there were somewhere around 300 bills listed for the 19th.  When I looked last night, AB 1181 was listed for the 19th. Now, there is somewhere around 55 bills scheduled for that day.

In addition, the tracking information for the bill shows action on 8/7/19:

In committee: Hearing postponed by committee.

As of last night, the committee staff had not posted their analysis of the bill.

When new info is visible, I’ll post the update.

AB 1181 would require charities to use overseas valuations for donated materials received with a donor requirement that the items only be used overseas. For more info click on the California A.G. tag.
